Michael Jordan has been at the forefront of basketball consciousness since his game-winning shot that brought championship glory to North Carolina. He took to the court in 1985 wearing the original Air Jordan I, simultaneously breaking league rules and his opponents’ will while capturing the imaginations of fans worldwide.

Originally released in 1996, the “Taxi” Air Jordan 12 has been re-released and reimagined several times over the years.

Drawing a strong resemblance to the original Air Jordan 12 Taxi, the Air Jordan 12 Royalty Taxi elevates the classic design with minor alterations in its detailing.

This retro inherits most of the familiar “Taxi” details, including a white leather upper, contrasting black mudguard, and gold hardware. However, this version is feature suede on the mudguard in place of the usual tumbled leather. The ‘JUMPMAN’ tab also appears in gold.

The design features a white tumbled leather upper with a black toe wrap and gold hook eyelets. A new feature is on the toe wrap, where a gold plaque is prominent on the lateral side. From there, a woven heel tag and matching sole complete the design.

Who said OGs can’t learn new tricks? Featuring a white leather upper, black outsole, and gold eyestays, the Air Jordan 12 ‘Royalty’ may remind you of a certain colorway that still drives in these streets. But, as its name suggests, this AJ 12 is elevated by luxurious touches. Golden Jumpman mudguard accents, tongue embroidery, and insole graphics give this beloved style a premium treatment.
